About Karen Howarth

I am a fully qualified and insured counsellor and a member of the B.A.C.P. (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), the U.K.’s largest professional organisation for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I adhere to and uphold the ethics and principles the B.A.C.P. stand for, ensuring confidentiality, professionalism and good practice. As a member of the B.A.C.P. my work is regularly supervised.

I work in an integrative way; this means by using a range of approaches and styles of counselling, sessions can be personally tailored to each individual. I believe each person has their own special requirements, with sensitively and respect progress can be achieved by using effective tools from various therapeutic models.

As well as running my own private practice, I regularly work with Mind, the U.K.’s leading Mental Health Charity.

I work with individuals on a short or longer term basis and with companies within the commercial sector in Employee Assistance Programmes (E.A.P.).

I believe in a holistic approach and by taking into consideration all aspects, mind, body and soul, understanding and harmony can be introduced into one’s life. Together, we can work towards that increased understanding, and a more settled and fulfilled future.
